How to get there without a car

It is very simple to go to Oujima Island.

Take the flight from Naha Airport to Kumejima Airport. Then take the local bus from Kumejima Airport station to Nishi Oujima station. The bus schedule is quite convenient for tourists because it is adjusted to the timetable for flights. Also, if you tell the destination on the route to the bus driver in advance, they will stop at the place. It was very helpful.

Inside the island, you can rent a bicycle or you can walk around on foot.

The daytime was cloudy, but still blue ocean is in front of me. That was fantastic!

This is an interesting spot. Old electric poles stand in ocean.
