This product is absolutely convenient and great to use in the winter season to ward off the chill. It is called “Yutapon” in Japanese. It will keep you warm until you wake up in the morning.
Also, you can use it again and again! I have used it for about 3 years. It costs less than 1,000 JPY which is around 7 USD, so definitely it is very durable and a good value for money.
You only need to heat it up in the microwave for about 3 minutes. I think this is similar to buckwheat Beans Warmer Insert, but does not smell after heating up and it is soft because of the gel inside (and no worries about allergies!).
You can purchase it at Yodobashi Camera which is a chain shopping center that sells electronic devices, house appliances, and many other essentials. You can visit there when sightseeing in Japan, or you can order it online if you live in Japan. Some drugstores will offer it, too.
I think it is worth buying.
